As a Stanford Biodesign Global Faculty in Training and attending physician in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Taipei Medical University Shuang Ho Hospital, Aleck specializes in combining clinical expertise with innovative medical device development. Aleck holds an M.D. from Taipei Medical University and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from National Yang-Ming University, along with comprehensive clinical training at premier medical institutions including National Taiwan University Hospital.
Aleck has over a decade of clinical experience in joint reconstruction, orthopedic trauma surgery, orthopedic oncology, and sports medicine. He has also been involved in innovative orthopedic device development for more than 8 years and serves as a medical consultant for a startup company specializing in metal 3D-printed medical devices. Currently, he serves as the Medical Affairs Lead at BE Accelerator, supporting startup teams in medical innovation and commercialization.
Aleck currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Research and Director of the Promotion Center of Smart Medical Device Research and Development at TMU-Shuang Ho Hospital. He is also an Associate Professor at the College of Biomedical Engineering, Taipei Medical University, dedicated to advancing medical innovation research and industry-academia collaboration.
